The 2014 Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet will be the last.

Nissan seems to have a love affair with funk vehicles. Sure, any automaker with proper funding can churn out typical vehicles like the Altima or the Sentra—and that’s good, because we have a need for vehicles like that.

But that’s not enough for Nissan, or at least it hasn’t been in the past. Aside from the Juke, which is a weird yet strangely appealing (for some) thing on its own, Nissan has also invested in the Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet, a bizarre but likeable SUV convertible.

But according to AutoBlog, the Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet has met its match. This year will officially be the last for the Murano CC, which has not been met with incredible sales success, in spite of (or likely because of) its quirky appearance.

Reportedly, the Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet moved 1,159 units in 2011, 3,278 in 2012, and 1,332 in 2013. It would seem, then, that those who have wanted to get their hands on the unusual SUV convertible, have already done so.

What are your thoughts on the Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet? Sad to see it go? Ready to clear ‘em off the roads?
