The staff at WardsAuto World recently announced the ten winners that made it onto Ward’s 10 Best Interiors List for 2015; among those winners was the 2015 Nissan Murano. The Murano, along with the other nine winners, will be recognized on May 13th, during the WardsAuto Interiors Conference at the Cobo Center in Detroit. (If that sounds familiar, that’s because the North American International Auto Show is also held at the Cobo Center every January.)

Editors examined 42 different models over a period of two months before selecting the top ten. After driving the competing models in and around Detroit, the editors scored the entries on features like comfort, design harmony, driver information, ergonomics, fit-and-finish, materials, safety, and value.

“First time I saw the new Murano interior, I was blown away by the pearlescent film that’s used to lovely effect on the doors, instrument panel, center console and armrest,” remarked Tom Murphy, executive editor at WardsAuto World. “The rest of the interior is brilliantly executed as well, from the smooth, flowing lines of the instrument panel to the ample cargo hold. Beige interiors often are perceived as boring, but this one is stylish and contemporary while achieving a serenity uncommon among midsize CUVs.”

The editors enjoyed the interior of the Murano for its breakthrough design, which is a carryover from the wowing exterior. That breakthrough design features “an engaging social lounge” as well as “Advanced NASA-inspired Zero Gravity front and outboard rear seating.” The Power Panoramic Moonroof and abundance of technologies also sold the editors on the Nissan Murano interior.
