A Nissan Note Zorbing. Now you’ve seen everything

Have you heard of Zorbing? If not, then have we ever got an idea for your next company outing. Zorbing involves climbing into a giant inflatable orb and rolling down a hill. It’s pretty much exactly what it sounds like. Imagine that John Travolta movie (no, not Battlefield: Earth), only instead of using a giant plastic bubble to protect a boy’s fragile immune system from the horrors of our atmosphere, people use it to roll around like a bowling ball.

If you need better visualization of the act of Zorbing, then you should check out the following ad for the Nissan Note. That is correct: this is a video of a Nissan Note Zorbing.

Nissan decided to demonstrate the overall effectiveness of its Safety Shield technology by putting a 2015 Note in a CarZorb, which took more than two months to build, measures about 60 feet around, and weighs a metric ton.

“The Nissan Note has been carefully engineered to provide motorists with a whole range of technology that creates a protective bubble around you and your car. Our Safety Shield technology in particular is unrivalled amongst other small family cars,” said Bastien Schupp, Vice President Strategy Marketing.

“Creating a life size CarZorb to highlight the technology is an exciting and memorable way of reminding people about the benefits of Nissan’s Safety Shield,” he added.

Nissan’s Safety Shield is comprised of its Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and Moving Object Detection technologies. If you plan on testing them out in a new Nissan, we can’t recommend packing it into a giant ball and heaving it down a hill.
