Nissan October sales benefited from another record month from the Rogue

Nissan enjoyed a frighteningly good October with cumulative sales of 103,117 across the Nissan Division and Infiniti, with the former scoring an October record of 94,072 units sold.

October’s sales mark for Nissan Division is a 14.9% year-over-year increase and represents the 13th consecutive monthly sales record for the brand.

2015 Nissan Altima

Nissan Group sales also amounted to an October record, thanks to a 13.3% year-over-year jump.

The Altima was Nissan’s volume leader with 23,544 cars sold, marking an 8.1% year-over-year increase and bringing to-date sales of the Altima past the 280K unit mark.

The Nissan Rogue set another monthly sales record in October with 14,685 units, up 13.7%.

Sentra also enjoyed a big month with 13,129 units sold, good for a 56.3% increase. Vera added in 11,097 units, up 28.6% and also marking an October best.

The LEAF also set another monthly record with 2,589 sales in October, up 29.3% over October 2013. Additionally, the LEAF set an annual sales record in October, topping last year’s record of 22,610 units with a running total of 24,411 units and two months remaining to add to that total.

The Murano was up 37.7% with sales of 4,271 units with production of the 2015 model kicking off in Canton, Mississippi later this week. Nissan pickups also had a solid month with the Titan staying steady at 990 units and the Frontier up 25.3% with 6,568 units.

To date, Nissan Division sales in the United States for 2014 are over the 1 million mark with a total of 1,072,464 units, up 13.8%. Nissan Group sales currently total 1,166,389 units, up 13%.
