Nissan 2013 Sales

Nissan Rogue

It was no surprise that Nissan blew its 2012 sales out of the water, as the Japanese automaker had already done that with a month to spare in 2013.  The only question was whether or not it would be an all-time best for Nissan, and now the results are in.  Turns out, the result on Nissan 2013 sales being the best in the company’s history was never in doubt.

Nissan sold a total of 1,248,420 vehicles in the United States in 2013, which is not only an increase of 8.4 percent over 2012, but also marks the best annual sales total in Nissan’s history.

The bar was set high for December after Nissan experienced a record November. “Consumers’ strong demand for Nissan products continued last month, culminating in a very good Black Friday weekend and driving our sales performance to an all-time record November,” Fred Diaz, divisional vice president at Nissan, said of the company’s November performance in its press release.

Despite the high bar, Nissan shattered expectations in December, selling 106,758 units – an increase of 10.5 percent compared to December of last year.
