2017 Nissan TITAN

If you haven’t heard, this year has been dubbed the “Year of the Truck” by Nissan to highlight the brand’s focus on making trucks and SUVs that can hold their own in highly competitive segments. It seems as if all this extra hard work on these vehicles is paying off, as the awards continue to roll in. The latest commendations came in this month from the Active Lifestyle Vehicle Awards for not one, but two Nissan vehicles.

Both the Nissan Titan truck and Nissan Armada SUV, recently completely redesigned, performed well in the competition, which is focused on drivers who want vehicles that can keep up with their fast-paced outdoor lifestyle. Nissan entered vehicles in three categories, and drove off with two first place finishes in the “Extreme Off-Road” (for the Nissan Titan Pro-4x) and “Luxury Family” (for the Nissan Armada) categories. The competition was pretty fierce for these awards, with Nissan defeating competitors Chevy, Toyota, Jeep, and Acura on the way to the prizes.

“Nissan trucks and SUVs are designed to be ‘adventure ready,’ whether tackling a challenging off-road trail or just loaded up with recreational equipment to take the family to a trailhead or lake,” said Fred Diaz, division vice president and general manager, North America Trucks and Light Commercial Vehicles, Nissan North America, Inc. “We’re honored by the latest recognition by this independent group of active lifestyle media and enthusiasts.”

As if you need another reason to consider a Nissan truck, the automaker is quick to point out that its Titan trucks in the 2017 model year are covered by America’s best truck warranty of five years or 100,000 miles. This will make it ready for worry-free adventures for a very long time.
