Nissan selected as Official Truck of the Circuit of The AmericasThere is no question that America loves pickup trucks. It is partially because they are ingrained in our culture as manly vehicles, but it’s also because they are always ready to work hard to get the job done. Nissan was happy to announce this month that its Titan and Titan XD trucks have found the perfect job as the official trucks of the Circuit of The Americas, or COTA, in Austin, Texas.

A fleet of Nissan Titan and Nissan Titan XD trucks will work in a variety of roles, from safety vehicles, to track maintenance, to track sweepers. The trucks have to adapt to many different tasks, as the COTA track is not just used for motorsports but also hosts more than 20 concerts a year. The multi-year deal with Nissan will give the brand additional advertising rights around the track, but the hope is that the trucks at work will prove to spectators that these vehicles are ready to pick up what Texas throws down.

“Nissan is looking forward to a great partnership with COTA in the years ahead, where we can showcase our Nissan trucks in their natural setting – working hard every day,” said Fred Diaz, division vice president and general manager, North America Trucks and Light Commercial Vehicles, Nissan North America, Inc. “With every TITAN half-ton and TITAN XD covered by “America’s Best Truck Warranty,” we’re confident that they are more than up to the task.”

Besides the Titan and Titan XD trucks, Nissan will also send one of its large Armada SUVs to serve as the ride of the safety chase team. A Nissan GT-R, one of Nissan’s most recognizable models, is also heading to Texas to serve as a safety car or pace car at all COTA-controlled events.
