French Creek Medical, an Avon, Ohio business that delivers physical therapy and chiropractic supplies to the Greater Cleveland area, has been announced as the winner of the very first “City Express to Success” Challenge. The contest, designed by Chevy and Entrepreneur magazine, was created to provide one small business with a 2015 Chevrolet City Express.

French Creek Medical owner Tom Wible will soon be receiving the free Chevy Express van to help his business increase the efficiency of day-to-day operations.

“We’ve longed for a ‘right-sized’ vehicle that will help us deliver our products to our customers, while also serving as a promotional tool for our business,” said Wible. “The City Express fits in that spot between not enough room and too much, and it will allow us to tell Cleveland who we are.”

“City Express to Success” contest entrants were tasked with illustrating how a Chevrolet City Express could help boost their brand, increase their productivity, and grow their business. Wible’s pitch was then chosen from among the thousands of videos and essays that were submitted by American small business owners. In addition to the 2015 Express grand prize, four finalists received a $1,000 gas card.

“The best way to show our customers how our vehicles can benefit them and contribute to their profitability, is to get them behind the wheel in a real-world business situation,” said Ed Peper, US vice president of GM Fleet and Commercial. “We are confident the City Express will help French Creek Medical expand their offerings.”

Chevrolet says that the campaign shows that “partnerships between brands and publishers are a sign of things to come, with consumers emerging as the real winners.”

“We give entrepreneurs and small businesses the resources they need to thrive in an increasingly competitive business environment,” said Ray Hennessey, editorial director of Entrepreneur.com. “It’s inspiring to partner with brands like Chevrolet, who share our commitment to serving this market and are willing to offer extraordinary opportunities.”
