The German Cup Final has been set for Berlin’s Olympic Stadium on May 27th, pitting Borussia Dortmund against Eintracht Frankfurt. Dortmund reaches the final for a fourth consecutive year after defeating FC Bayern München by a final of 3-2 in the semis. While there will no doubt be numerous BVB fans lending support to the club over the next several days and during Saturday’s match, Dortmund’s biggest supporter is arguably Opel, its official automotive partner for the past five years.

In the lead up to Saturday’s final, Opel is taking part in a number of initiatives to support the team and promote its vehicles. Among these efforts is the dispatching of a fleet of ten Opel ADAM and Mokka X vehicles with BVB branding for the purposes of shuttling fans between Olympic Stadium and the Breitscheidplatz.

Opel will also offer 25 vehicles—10 of which will be the new Insignia—for the Dortmund delegation and guests of honor to help transfer them to and fro. Opel will also be a presence at the public viewing event at the Berlin Arena in Alt-Treptow, where an estimated 50,000 fans will watch the game live. A few lucky fans participating in a pre-match raffle will win the final available tickets to get into Olympic Stadium, and will be promptly shuttled to the match via an Opel ADAM.

Additionally, Nobert “Nobby” Dickel will drive a new Insignia dubbed the “BVB Quiz Taxi” around Berlin to quiz fans for the opportunity to win tickets to the game.

Should Dortmund reign supreme in Sunday’s final and win its first German Cup since 2012, Opel will provide vehicles for the victory parade and give six fans the opportunity to sit shotgun.
