Opel Mokka X Getting OnStar, Intellilink Because of Course It Is
The Opel Mokka X is coming soon, and while it may be only natural to assume that it will be offered with the latest in in-vehicle infotainment, navigation, connectivity technologies, it…will totally be offered with all of that stuff. Because it’s the 21st century, you know? Millennials love that kind of stuff.
The new Mokka X will, of course, be offered with Opel OnStar and the latest generation of IntelliLink. In Opel’s native country of Germany, R 4.0 IntelliLink will be standard equipment for the Edition trim, and NAVI 900 IntelliLink will be available for an additional price of €950.
The R 4.0 IntelliLink system comes with a standard seven-inch touchscreen, USB and Bluetooth connectivity, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. To use the latter two features, a “Projection” icon becomes visible on the touchscreen whenever a phone is not connected and changes to reflect the kind of phone connected via USB.
NAVI 900 IntelliLink upgrades the setup to an eight-inch color touchscreen and adds integrated navigation, which comes with maps for more than 30 countries in Europe that are available in two- and three-dimensional displays. This system will also be offered with high-quality Bose sound-system and DAB+ digital radio as additional paid options.
Opel OnStar will offer around-the-clock access, 365 days a year, responding in the event of an emergency and automatically contacting advisors if the airbags are deployed. Opel OnStar also means that the Mokka X will have an in-vehicle 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, to which up to seven devices can be connected at any time.
The Mokka X will start at a €18,990 base price, and the Mokka X Edition starts at €21,690.
