“A readers’ choice award is always of special significance—our potential customers are voting in this case,” said Opel Chief Marketing Officer Tina Müller. “The ADAM is a serial winner at the ‘Best Cars,’ and that shows that it is just as popular with classic car fans as it is with the new target audience that we want to approach with our fresh online campaign #ADAMyourself.”

Additionally, Opel’s IntelliLux LED® matrix light won the “International Paul Pietsch Award 2016” for innovative technology. The award is named for the eponymous co-founder of Motore Presse Stuttgart and former Grand Prix racer. The award was accepted by Opel Group CEO Dr. Karl-Thomas Neumann, who said that the LED matrix system is a key example of Opel “democratizing high-tech solutions, making innovations affordable and integrating them in our volume models.”
