Ford has announced Paul Neighbour as the new Plant Manager at Ford Dagenham Engine Plant. Neighbour takes the reins at Ford Dagenham after former Plant Manager Martin Everitt accepted the role of Director of Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering for Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

Neighbour’s career with Ford goes back 38 years and includes a litany of senior positions in Powertrain Operations. Neighbour also previously served as the Vice President of Manufacturing for Getrag Ford Transmissions.

Among Neighbour’s accomplishments with Ford is his integral role in planning and implementation for the automaker’s V6 diesel engine line, as well as the launch of four-cylinder diesel engines for its small capacity and commercial vehicles.

This past year, production at Ford Dagenham and at the Ford Bridgend engine plant in Wales combined for a total of more than 1.6 million engines produced. Everitt served the role of plant manager from May 2014 onward, in which time he was responsible for the launch of the next-gen 2.0-liter diesel engine that is being built at Dagenham today.
