Peyton Manning’s Blindside Protected by the 2013 Buick Verano in New Commercial
After missing an entire season due to injury, Peyton Manning was named Comeback Player of the Year in the NFL for the 2012 season. This was due in part to his offensive line’s ability to keep him upright and healthy. You could say no one knows the value of having his blindside protected more than the four-time NFL MVP.
That is why Buick chose Manning to display the value of innovative safety features, including Side Blind Zone Alert, of the 2013 Buick Verano in a recent TV spot. The commercial puts Manning behind the wheel of the 2013 Verano, as he uses football terminology to put the advanced safety features of the luxury sedan on full display.

“We’re talking about the new Verano but using important football lingo. Last year we were calling audibles and this year it’s a spot called ‘Blindsided,’” said Manning in a press release. “No one wants to be blindsided, especially a quarterback. Usually you have one guy protecting the blindside but these features are so good, it’s really like having 11 guys blocking your blindside.”
The 2013 Buick Verano uses radar sensor and cameras to provide drivers with 360 degree protection. The safety features include Side Blind Zone Alert, a standard Rear Vision Camera, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. Whether you are backing up or changing lanes, the 2013 Verano is equipped to keep you safe.
