Buick this month revealed the next phase in the expansion of its Avenir sub-brand with the unveiling of the 2018 Buick LaCrosse Avenir. Buick’s high-luxury badge originally debuted in China before making its way to North America as a trim available for the 2018 Buick Enclave, which just began rolling out to showrooms across the US this past October.

“Nine out of ten LaCrosse buyers are choosing one of the top two trim levels—customers are signaling they want more from Buick,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global Buick and GMC. “With even more content and an elegant look, Avenir adds a unique name and appearance for those who want the best of our attainable luxury.”

Drawing aesthetic inspiration from the concept flagship of the same name, the LaCrosse Avenir features a three-dimensional mesh upper and lower grille anchored by chrome wings that flank the tri-shield badge in the center. Also setting the 2018 Buick LaCrosse Avenir apart are 19-inch Pearl Nickel wheels (or available 20-inch Midnight Silver wheels) and Avenir script badging on the front doors.

“Exterior styling is very important to LaCrosse buyers, and its sculpted beauty withstands passing trends,” said Bob Boniface, global director of Buick Exterior Design. “For Avenir, we focused on maintaining the timelessness of the LaCrosse, while giving these customers subtle and tasteful details that elevate this car to a new level.”

On the inside, the 2018 LaCrosse Avenir will be offered with an exclusive Chestnut color scheme, Ebony interior, embroidery in the front-row headrests, and Avenir script on the sill plates.

The 2018 Buick LaCrosse Avenir will be equipped with Twin-Clutch, Dynamic Drive Package with continuous variable real-time dampening control, a panoramic moonroof, Bose Centerpoint Surround Sound premium audio system, and gets the burly powertrain combination of a 310-horsepower V6 and 10-speed automatic transmission.

Luxury hounds should be on the lookout for the 2018 Buick LaCrosse Avenir to hit dealerships sometime in early 2018.
