When equipped with the power-defying, available 3.3-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, which is built from true gran turismo DNA, the all-new 2018 Kia Stinger earns a much-deserved spot on Wards 10 Best Engines List.
According to Kia, each new or renewed engine was reviewed for its noise characteristics, horsepower, torque, relative competitiveness, fuel economy, technology, and competitiveness. A total of 32 powertrains were included in this year’s list, the 24th edition created by Wards editors.

The 2018 Kia Stinger is available at five trim levels — base trim, Premium, GT, GT1, and GT2. The 3.3-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine comes standard on the GT, GT1, and GT2 trims. It is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the powertrain generates 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque. The 2018 Kia Stinger GT, GT1, and GT2 trims earn an EPA-estimated rating of 19 mpg in the city, 25 mpg on the highway, and 21 mpg combined.

The award-winning, intense powertrain of the 2018 Kia Stinger accelerates to 60 mph in approximately 4.7 seconds, according to Kia Media.

The 2018 Kia Stinger GT2 trim features advanced driver assist technologies including Blind Spot Collision Warning (BCW) with Lane Change Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Collision Warning (RCCW), Forward Collision Avoidance Assist (FCA) with Pedestrian Detection, Forward Collision Warning System (FCWS), Advanced Smart Cruise Control (ASCC) with Stop and Go, Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS), Driver Attention Warning (DAW), and Head Up Display (HUD).
