“Pretty Little Liars” Star Lucy Hale Works with Animals to #DayItForward [VIDEO]
Yesterday, Chevy celebrated Leap Day with a #DayItForward social campaign, which encouraged people all over the world to use the extra 24 hours provided to do something nice for other people… or just for other sentient beings, like in the case of Andy Cohen’s chosen charity.
One of those celebrities is Lucy Hale, a former winner of the American Idol spin-off American Juniors (remember that?) and a current star of the teen drama Pretty Little Liars.
Hale chose to spend her day with Eduardo, a young kid recently diagnosed with lymphoma. Eduardo must love the show Pretty Little Liars, or love animals, or love both, because he seemed incredibly excited to spend the day with Hale at the Wildlife Learning Center in Los Angeles.

Eduardo acted as Lucy Hale’s helper for the day, as the two assisted a Wildlife Learning Center animal expert in preparing food for the park’s animals. Then the pair got a real thrill when they were allowed to actually feed two of the adorable creatures—an arctic fox named Nanook and a red fox named Delilah.
“Today was amazing,” Hale said about the experience. “Eduardo was even more excited than I was to be up close and personal with these animals. I think he had a really good time and we both got to experience something new together, so I wish this day would never end.”
Hale wasn’t the only celebrity who used Chevy’s #DayItForward campaign to spend time with animals—her Pretty Little Liars co-star Ashley Benson worked with the charity Wags and Walks, and Watch What Happens: Live host Andy Cohen went to the Social Tees Animal Rescue shelter in New York.
