Two of the most commonly-asked questions in the wake of the reveals of the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 and the more track-oriented Shelby GT350R: when will they arrive and how much are they going to cost? We found out not that long ago that both will be arriving at the end of the year in a limited 2015 model year run before transitioning into the 2016 model year. Now, we have an extremely solid idea of how much they’ll cost.

According to a pricing document obtained by Mustang6G, MSRP for Shelby GT350 will start at $47,870, which is an extremely affordable asking price when compared to other high-performance sport sedan offerings. Even better? Upgrading to the GT350R will only cost $13,500 extra, making it significantly cheaper than both a Camaro Z/28 and a base BMW M4.

Translation: the new Shelby can’t help but be a success at this price.

Mustang6G is generally pretty spot-on with their leaks, but AutoBlog reached out to Ford for further comment as to the document’s authenticity. Ford’s response: the document is accurate, and a formal announcement is forthcoming.

Ford announced earlier this month that it will build 137 examples of the GT350/GT350R with the 2015 model year designation. These Mustangs are expected to be released by year’s end.
