The Ram truck brand has been raking in awards left and right for a good reason—it knows trucks. Nowhere is this better shown than the Ram brand’s newest addition to its lineup—the 2017 Ram Power Wagon.

During the 2016 Chicago Auto Show earlier today, the Ram brand unveiled the 2017 Power Wagon. Built to conquer the great outdoors, this truck has received a variety of new design elements, both inside and out.

And really, just look at it. Do you think it wouldn’t be able to handle anything that came its way?

The lighting might not be great, but that doesn’t diminish from the fact that this is one hell of a capable Ram

Want a Luxurious Truck? Consider the Ram Laramie Limited Edition

The 2017 Ram Power Wagon is based on the Ram 2500 Heavy Duty 4×4 Crew Cab with a whole bunch of tweaks that make it ready to go off the beaten track. Its available colors, lighting, wheels, grilles, and graphics all take cues from the 1979-80 “Macho Power Wagon,” reflecting Ram’s lengthy history as a powerhouse brand.

But never fear—the interior doesn’t look like it’s from the 80s. Inside, new interior colors and materials, including Diesel Gray and Black seats, have a tire tread-matching pattern that adds nice flair to the cabin. Despite its style, though, the Power Wagon’s interior is purely functional with a 7-inch center cluster and an 8.4-inch Uconnect screen that helps you stay connected no matter how far off the road you go.

With a combination of function and luxury, the Power Wagon’s interior offers both comfort and practicality

When you are off-roading, the Power Wagon has your back with its standard 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine. This powertrain churns out 410 horsepower and a peak torque rating of 429 lb-ft. As for the suspension, Ram has outfitted the Power Wagon with a unique setup. It includes Bilstein shocks, modified control arms, spring rates, and two inches of lift to give you the off-road experience of a lifetime.

While the 2017 Ram Power Wagon might not look like the Power Wagon of the past, it definitely is perfect for those who want adventure.
