Ram Heavy Duty Night Models Make Debut at 2017 Chicago Auto Show
Ram has already begun production of its Heavy Duty Night Models
Even though FCA has delayed the launch of the redesigned Ram 1500 until 2019, the company has stayed busy by releasing an assortment of special-edition models, such as the Ram 1500 Rebel Mojave Sand and Ram 1500 Rebel Black, but neither of those appearance packages were made available with Ram’s heavy duty pickup trucks. Well, it looks like Ram decided that needed to change, because it recently announced the addition of its new Heavy Duty Night models, which make their debut at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show.

FCA previously released the 2017 Ram 1500 special-edition Night Package in 2016. Some of the features that came with that model included 20-inch gloss black aluminum wheels, a black Ram grille badge, and a blacked-out Ram stamped tailgate from the Ram 1500 Rebel. All of those features will be equipped on the new Ram 2500 and 3500 HD Night models.
The Heavy Duty Night package will be available on the 4×2 and 4×4 Ram 2500 crew cab models, as well as the rear-wheel drive Ram 3500 crew cab variant. What’s more, consumers can still choose from Ram’s full complement of powerful V8 engines, including the 6.7-liter Cummins diesel and both HEMIs.
The special features continue once you step inside the Heavy Duty Night models. This is where you’ll find black heated seats, power-adjustable pedals, and dual-zone climate control.
Ram has already started production of this model and it could reach CDJR dealerships later in February. The company also announced the Ram Heavy Duty Night will carry a starting MSRP of $45,520, but that does include the additional $1,320 destination fee.
