Ram showcased the Ram 1500 Lone Star Silver Package at the State Fair of Texas

The Lone Star state just became significantly less lonely. Why, do you ask? Because it has a new star joining it—the all-new Ram 1500 Lone Star Silver Edition.

During the State Fair of Texas this past weekend, Ram debuted the updates for three of its most popular models, including the Lone Star, the Laramie Longhorn, and the Limited trucks. These new updates will offer Texas truck buyers even more exterior styling options and interior features.

“The Ram Lone Star Edition is the original Texas truck,” said Mike Manley, Head of Ram Brand for FCA Global. “It’s impossible to overstate the significance of the role Texas plays in the pickup truck segment. At the same time, Ram trucks are an iconic part of the Texas landscape. As the longest-lasting truck in Texas, there are literally millions of Ram pickups still on the road.”

Because of the importance of pickup trucks in Texas, Ram has decided to offer a Silver Edition option for the Ram 1500 Lone Star, which is the brand’s top-selling truck in Texas. This edition has a number of premium upgrades, such as a new luxury grille with chrome surround and chrome Wave Mesh inserts. It also has a number of other aesthetically pleasing exterior changes, including bright belt moldings and a number of chrome accents throughout the body. It even has polished 20-inch wheels and front tow hooks.

The interior also has some changes, including new sporty cloth and vinyl high-back bucket seats. These seats come in either two-toned Canyon Brown/Light Frost Beige or Black/Diesel Gray.

Each Lone Star Silver Edition comes available on Ram 1500 4×2 and 4×4 Crew Cab, and is also available with short or long box-length options. It can be powered by either a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, 5.7-liter HEMI V8, or class-exclusive 3.0-liter EcoDiesel.

The options for this Texas-inspired pickup truck are endless. With a starting MSRP of $38,995 plus $1,320 in destination charges, it’s got a pretty price tag, too. Keep an eye out for this model during the fourth quarter of 2016, when it should begin arriving in dealerships.
