Raminator Monster Truck Breaks Record for “Fastest Speed for a Monster Truck”
The Raminator monster truck broke the record for “Fastest Speed for a Monster Truck” today.
Chrysler Group today reported that the Raminator monster truck, a Ram-sponsored monster truck, broke the Guinness World Records® Record for “Fastest Speed for a Monster Truck.” The record was broken at 8:48am CT at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas.
The previous record had been set at 96.8 miles an hour, but driver, Mark Hall, was able to get the Raminator monster truck up to 99.10 miles per hour.
Ram Truck has sponsored the Raminator for several years. The truck brand’s 2014 monster truck lineup includes the 2014 Monster Truck Nationals Champion Raminator and Rammunition, which have been sponsored since 2002. Mopar also introduced its own monster truck this year, Mopar Muscle.
The Hall Brothers Racing Team owns and operates all of these trucks, and brings a fair amount of celebrity to the bad boys. Mark Hall himself has been named the Monster Truck Racing Association (MTRA) “Driver of the Year” nine times since 1996, while Crew Chief, Tim Hall, has earned MTRA “Mechanic of the Year” five times since 2006. The trucks are incredible in their own right too, however; the Raminator monster truck, in addition to earning the “Fastest Speed for a Monster Truck” record, has been named the MTRA “Truck of the Year” eight times—another record, we might add.
