Back in September 2013, Infiniti announced a new executive that would lead it to greatness in the American market. Michael Bartsch had previously worked for Porsche, and promised big things for his new company. But just 17 months later, Bartsch is out the door, with Randy Parker named as his successor, effective immediately.

Those eyebrows. That mustache. THAT HAIR! Infiniti can’t lose with this guy at the helm.

Randy Parker is the former VP of Nissan West Region for Nissan North America. In this role, he was in charge of regional marketing, distribution, financial controls, and dealer network development. Now, he will bring the skills he learned during his tenure at Nissan to the Japanese automaker’s luxury arm.

“It is our pleasure to welcome Randy Parker to Infiniti,” declared Roland Krueger, president of Infiniti Motor Co., Ltd. “Randy will be responsible for accelerating Infiniti’s progress in our largest worldwide market and driving our brand transformation as we execute an expanded product portfolio of premium luxury products.”

Time will only tell whether or not Parker will be successful where his predecessor apparently was not. All we know about Bartsch’s departure is that he left the company to “pursue other interests,” which could mean literally anything.

But one thing’s for sure: if Randy Parker is as dedicated to Infiniti as he is to his impeccable eyebrows and mustache, the company has nowhere to go but up.
