Nowadays most people know actor Chris Bridges from his role as Tej Parker in the Fast and Furious movies, but back in the early 2000s he was better known as rapper Ludacris, who was all about throwin’ bows and driving fancy cars.

With five platinum albums under his belt and two more that have been certified gold by the RIAA, there’s little question that Ludacris can afford to drive any supercar he pleases, but the Atlanta native has kept things simple, as he still owns the same 1993 Acura Legend that he drove around before he ever became famous. In fact, Ludacris is so found of his old Acura that he even used it for the cover art of his latest album, Ludaversal.

Fact or Fiction: Does Drake actually own a Maybach 62S worth more than $1 million?

They say all good things must come to an end though. That’s because if you’ve taken a look at Ludacris’ Instagram, then you can see there’s a new Acura in his life and it can go a lot faster than his Legend.

That car we’re talking about is the 2017 Acura NSX supercar, which the rapper acquired around Christmas time. The new NSX carries a starting MSRP of $156,000 and that’s before adding any other optional equipment.

Powering this supercar is a one-of-a-kind hybrid powertrain that consists of a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 along with three additional electric motors, which provide the NSX with 573 horsepower and 476 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to this hybrid system, the 2017 NSX can zip from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds and hit a top speed of 191 mph, according to Car and Driver.

Those are impressive performance figures for any car, but if you’ve thought Ludacris would get rid of his Legend after acquiring the NSX, then think again. It was only a year ago that Acura fully restored the ‘93 Legend after it was damaged in a minor accident and Ludacris still seems quite found of the car, which is proven by the caption that accompanies the embedded Instagram post below.
