This is exactly what happened to Ron Smith when he remembered he parked a classic Dodge Charger Daytona on his father’s property.
Smith, a resident in Washington, bought the 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona for $4,770 right before shipping out to Vietnam. After returning from the war in the 1970s, he continued to drive the vehicle until 1980, when he parked it on his father’s property.

It was still in that exact place when the classic Dodge was brought back to life. Smith decided he wanted to restore the Daytona to its original glory and spent only $12,000 to do so, keeping the Dodge as authentic as possible.
So what does this Dodge Charger Daytona cost now? After spending only $16,770 on the car, Smith could get a hefty sum of around $180,000 if he were to sell it. This price could even go higher at the right auction, since it has only been owned by one person and is in mostly original state.
There’s been no talk as to whether or not Smith is interested in selling this beauty, but we have to say—we hope he keeps it for the time being because it has to be one hell of a ride.
