Hyundai plans to continue last year’s successful “Just One Wish” campaign through social media and the organization’s website using hashtag #EndChildhoodCancer. The brand has asked singer Melanie Fiona to be the Hope on Wheels’ ambassador in the New York City area. According to representatives for Hyundai, Fiona embodies the charisma and optimism of Hyundai Hope on Wheels.

“As a performer it’s imperative to give a voice to worthy causes, and I’m honored to help the issue of childhood cancer be heard at this year’s Hyundai Hope on Wheels kick-off event,” expressed Melanie Fiona. “It’s remarkable that in its 17th year of fighting the battle against childhood cancer, Hope on Wheels shows no sign of slowing when it comes to finding a cure through groundbreaking research. We can all agree, one child fighting cancer is one child too many.”

The 31-year-old Toronto native began her career in the female trio X-Quisite before becoming part of The Renaissance (with Drake) and eventually leading a solo career. Fiona’s first solo album, The Bridge, was released in 2009 and garnered multiple awards. She also won two GRAMMY awards for the song “Fool for You” with CeeLo Green.
