Despite slowing sales numbers this year, Hyundai has remained consistent in its quality products–as recent award honors have shown.

Hyundai Wins J.D. Power Initial Quality Awards

Over the past 29 years, the J.D. Power Initial Quality Awards have become a respected authority on the quality of automotive products–especially since the annual results incorporate feedback from over 80,000 consumers. According to the results of this year’s 233-question survey, Hyundai‘s score far exceeded the industry average. Ranking fourth this year among all brands in the J.D. Power 2015 US Initial Quality Study (IQS), Hyundai has now ranked in the top four for the fourth time.

In individual categories, the 2015 Tucson and 2015 Accent received first place in their own respective segments, while the 2015 Elantra and 2015 Santa Fe earned second-place finishes.

“Not only do we take the improvement of quality on our existing models seriously, but we must also launch new vehicles with the highest quality right out of the gate, stated Frank Ferrara, executive vice president of customer satisfaction for Hyundai Motor America. “It is important for our customers to be happy with their vehicles, and that starts with quality and educating them on how to use all the features of their vehicle.”

HYUNDAINEWS.COM TAKES GOLD FOR BEST ONLINE PRESS ROOM AT THE 2015 STEVIE AWARDS

For the past 13 years, the StevieĀ® Awards have been distributed to the best corporate and industry websites in the country, from banking and health products to insurance and computer services. Specialty category awards are also given out for aspects such as Best Interface Design, Best Web Writing/Content, and Best Home Page.

At this year’s American Business Awards ceremony in Chicago’s Millennium Park, Hyundai US received the top rank–known as a Gold Stevie–in the category of Best Online Press Room. The online newsroom received high praise for its user-friendliness, modern-looking landing pages, and visual style. It won gold status over 400 other nominees who attended the awards gala.

“All Hyundai vehicles are engineered to put information at drivers’ fingertips, and our online newsroom is no different,” said Chris Hosford, executive director, corporate communications for Hyundai Motor America. “Our overall goal for the site was to make it easy for journalists to get what they need as easily and quickly as possible. Receiving this award is confirmation that we designed a best-in-class online newsroom.”
