Redesigned 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Prepares for European Debut
Japan has already gotten a glimpse of the face-lifted Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Now, it’s time for Europe to get a taste, too. The Outlander PHEV will have its European moment in the spotlight during the Frankfurt Motor Show later this month.
Similar to the regular Outlander, the PHEV model will have a new front end, showcasing the eco-friendly crossover’s Dynamic Shield front fascia. The model will have LED DRLs in an LED headlight module. Mitsubishi continues the LED styling to the rear end with LED stop-lamps, as well.
Other styling changes include bumper extensions exclusive to the PHEV model, along with a different side design and various other decorative parts based on matching the body color. It also offers a set of exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels with a two-tone machine finish.
Inside the 2016 Outlander PHEV, changes include a revamped cabin design and high-quality materials. A leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel design adds a touch of class, while accent stitching brushes up the instrument cluster design. The interior is also quieter than ever before.
Along with this design changes, the PHEV will also offer eco-friendly consumers a powertrain that combines a Twin Motor four-wheel drive with two separate motors that drive the rear and front wheels.
