Remote Control Oscar Mayer Wienermobile Arrives Just in Time for the Holidays
There isn’t a man, woman, or child on this earth that doesn’t wish they were an Oscar Mayer wiener, because then everyone would be in love with them. But until technology catches up with humanity’s universal desire to be turned into a sentient sausage, the next best thing is getting to be a Wienermobile driver (or “Hotdogger,” as they’re known).
Currently, only college seniors who are about to graduate are eligible to be Hotdoggers, and with only eight active Wienermobiles, the competition is fierce. But finally, everyone has a chance to control a Wienermobile of their own—albeit one that’s a little bit smaller than the 27-foot long original.

The Oscar Mayer website has begun selling a remote control Wienermobile for only $25 plus shipping, just in time for the holidays. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to simply buy everyone on your Christmas list an RC Wienermobile—unlike Oscar Mayer hot dogs themselves, this new toy is a small-batch production item.
From now until December 4th, Oscar Mayer will be randomly tweeting out “buy now” links, so to find out when new Wienermobiles become available, you’ll need to follow the official Oscar Mayer Twitter account (if for some reason you aren’t already).
If by December 5th you haven’t had any luck securing an RC Oscar Mayer Wienermobile, hopefully your kids will settle for a stocking full of Wienerwhistles.
