Report: Cadillac Planning Escalade V-Series
The new-generation Cadillac Escalade has been a hit with shoppers thus far, and that warm and welcoming reception has been one of the major consistent bright spots in a largely up-and-down sales years. One of the few complaints that has met the new Escalade is its lone powertrain option, and if there is truth to a tweet from Jonny Lieberman, that gripe will soon be addressed with a performance-minded model.
Cadillac Escalade V? Believe it #Cadillac #Escalade #EscaladeV

Per a tweet from the Senior Features Editor of Motor Trend, Cadillac appears to be planning a V-Series version of the Escalade. Liberman even went so far as to address one of THE HATERZZ, responding to someone doubting the veracity of his claim and telling them to doubt all they’d like. Neither Lieberman nor his publication were able to present any sources or any concrete information, but it is conjectured that an Escalade V would be powered by the CTS-V’s 6.2-liter LT4 V8, which would give it output somewhere comfortable north of 600 horsepower. It was also suggested that the Escalade V might arrive for NYIAS next year and carry a price something around $15,000 more than the cost of a regular Escalade. GM has neither confirmed nor denied the story, and even if the automaker offered comment at this stage, it would almost certainly be to say that it does not comment on future products. In either case, stay tuned.
