The 2017 Ford GT will stand in the company of supercar giants as one of the most exclusive vehicles on the market when it arrives next year. So exclusive is Ford’s long-awaited supercar that prospective buyers will have to apply for the privilege to own one of the 250 units built. That exclusivity, of course, means that supply is going to be extremely limited among dealerships, and that exclusivity is amplified even more so when taking into account overseas markets.

So just how many GTs will Ford sell in the United States? According to a report from AutoWeek, that number is likely to be as low as 100 units.

AutoWeek cites sources close to Ford who state that showrooms in the United States will have to fight over a 100-car allocation. As for the other 150 Ford GTs, those will be divided amongst the automaker’s other major markets. Autocar reports that the United Kingdom is set to receive as few as 20 models, and it’s believed that most other markets will receive around 10 GTs a piece.

Regardless of where you are, if you have $400,000 to kick around and you absolutely have to get a Ford GT, you may want to start making in-roads now, because they’re probably not going to last much longer than the blink of an eye.
