The Rumble Bee Ram Concept

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of its 2004 Dodge Ram Rumble Bee Ram Concept, Chrysler debuted a newly-inspired 2014 Rumble Bee Ram Concept at Detroit’s Woodward Dream Cruise.  And though the 2014 Rumble Bee is a one-off production, its premiere was certainly no blink-and-you’ll-miss-it affair, particularly given the loud Drone Yellow paint job.

So what’s the buzz about the Rumble Bee Ram Concept?  It’s based upon the 2013 Ram R/T high-performance sport truck, modified by the Chrysler hivemind to evoke memories of the limited Rumble Bee truck produced for the 2004 and 2005 model years, which was itself a tribute to the Dodge Super Bee manufactured between 1968 and 1971. The concept truck proved to be the queen bee at Woodward, thanks to an exquisitely crafted interior (that features, of all things, a bee encased in resin as the gear shift), a Mopar body kit, and a growling HEMI 5.7L V8 beneath the hood.  Capable of burly 395 horsepower, this truck’s sting is as strong as its buzz.

On the possibility of making the Rumble Bee Ram available to consumers, Ram spokesman Nick Cappa says, “If the response to the concept is strong, we would consider it for production.  We have had great success with ‘buzz’ models.”

A bee joke, Mr. Cappa?  Really?  Those are the depths to which you’d stoop?  Yeesh, you must have really (honey)combed through your book of bad jokes for that one. Bee sure to check out the video tour of the Rumble Bee Ram.  Hive got a feeling you will barely bee able to bee-lieve your eyes.
