Scion had an exceptional year in 2015 with the release of two all-new models—the iA sedan and the iM hatchback. Both models quickly became firm favorites with Scion’s target market—Millennials. The iA in particular was lauded by numerous automotive publications, as well as being the only car in its segment named a Top Safety Pick+ by the IIHS.

Both the iA and the iM will be on display at the 2016 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit next week, along with a handful of concepts and other unique vehicles.

C-HR Concept

The Scion C-HR Concept made its world debut last November at the LA Auto Show. The small crossover’s initials stand for Compact size and High Ride height. The C-HR will debut sometime this year as a production model, and will be aimed at what Scion refers to as “yuccies”—young urban creatives. The concept car boasts unique styling, and Scion says it’ll keep as much of that as possible in the production model; however, only time will tell.

FR-S Release Series

The 2016 Scion FR-S Release Series comes with a plethora of high-end features. The coupe is painted in a color called Lunar Storm and comes with 17-inch forged alloy wheels, black  mixed-Alcantara/leather seats with camel-colored accents, and a unique aero kit with front lip and trunk spoilers. Production of the FR-S Release Series is limited to just 1,000 units, making this car one of the most exclusive Scions ever produced.

Pikes Peak FR-S

Scion will also display the special FR-S that made the legendary Pikes Peak International Hill Climb last June. This car was designed by Mackin Industries and features a larger turbo charger, a stand-along ECU, improved engine/drivetrain cooling systems, an aggressive aero package, and an E85 fuel system.

Ever-Better Expedition FR-S

This special FR-S was one of only nine vehicles to traverse the various climes of North America in Toyota’s Ever-Better Expedition. This was a 110-day journey across the continent that Toyota team members made in order to experience vehicle performance in real life, experience the road, and connect with customers to gain new insights.
