Senior Management Changes Roll Out For Nissan North America

2016 has been a good year so far for Nissan, with record sales growth here in the United States and many good international developments. The continued success of the brand has lead to Nissan North America‘s leadership team, headed by its chairman, José Muñoz, to make some key senior management changes. Effective September first of this year, the company will welcome three new employees to its upper ranks and say farewell to a retiring Regional Vice President.

In Corporate Communications, Brian Brockman will take the reins as Director of Group Communications for Nissan North America. He is currently the Director of Nissan North America’s Internal Communications, and will be responsible for all activities in the Nissan Group pertaining to manufacturing, corporate, policy, and labor. He will also lead multicultural communications, crisis communications, and corporate social responsibility messaging.

Jeff Harris is the Regional Vice President of the East Region of Infiniti USA, and at the end of this month he will be retiring his position after being with Nissan for 27 years. He will be replaced by Ted Mengiste, who is currently the director of Light Commercial Vehicle Sales and Marketing. As the Regional Vice President, Mengiste will oversee personnel and operations in the East Region, as well as steer marketing efforts in the area. To fill the shoes of Ted Mengiste, Tiago Castro has been promoted to Light Commercial Vehicle Sales and Marketing for Nissan North America from his previous position as Senior Manager of Nissan North America Product Planning.

Congratulations to all of these executives on their promotions, and happy trails to Jeff Harris in his retirement. 2015 was the first year that Nissan reached 2 million vehicles sold in North America. Hopefully with executives like these, Nissan will continue to grow.
