Seven-Seat Subaru SUV May Debut at 2015 Tokyo Motor Show
A replacement for the outgoing Subaru Tribeca, which ceased production in January of 2014, may be in the works for the 2017 model year. While the EXIGA has already supplanted the Tribeca in Japan, a new flagship seven-seat Subaru SUV for the American and Australian markets might currently be in the design stage.
Very little is known about this vehicle (which, you know, may or may not actually exist), but if it is on the drawing board right now, designers are probably looking to make it larger than the cramped Tribeca it will replace. The vehicle would also likely be produced at Subaru’s Indiana plant, which is expanding its production capacity next year.

According to Torque News, a concept version of the seven-seat Subaru SUV might be ready in time to debut at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show, which runs from October 29th to November 8th of next year. If that timeline is accurate, we could probably expect a production version to show up in US dealerships in late 2016 or early 2017. We’ll keep you posted on any further developments.
