Several GM Senior Leadership Changes Announced

General Motors yesterday announced a handful of GM senior leadership changes that reflect the brand’s ongoing effort to become the “New GM,” operating entirely differently from the “Old GM.”

Explained CEO, Mary Barra, “We understand that we have to earn our customers’ trust and loyalty, and that every interaction matters. The vehicle purchase is just the start. We intend to earn customers for life by delivering exceptional quality and customer care, and these changes put us on a path to achieving that.”

Alicia Boler-Davis currently serves as senior vice president of Global Quality and Customer Experience. She has been named to senior vice president of Global Connected Customer Experience.

Grace Lieblein currently serves as vice president of Global Purchasing and Supply Chain. She has been named vice president of Global Quality.

Steve Kiefer currently serves as vice president of Global Powertrain. He has been named vice president of Global Purchasing and Supply Chain.

Dan Nicholas currently serves as executive director of Powertrain Embedded Controls. He has been named vice president of Global Powertrain.

Mary Chan, however, will be leaving the company, after service as vice president of Global Connected Consumer. She will remain on through the first quarter of 2015 to help with the transition.
