Siri Eyes Free Mode Available in Select Honda and Acura Vehicles
The dangers of texting and driving have been well-documented, so why not let Siri™ do it for you? You will soon be able to in select Honda and Acura vehicles, including the 2013-2014 Honda Accord. Honda is making Apple’s Siri Eyes Free mode a dealer installed accessory, which will allow iPhone customers to direct Siri to perform a number of tasks while keeping their hands on the wheel and their eyes on the road.
“Honda recognizes the power of Siri Eyes Free to meet connectivity and convenience needs of its customers in a responsible manner,” said Art St. Cyr, vice president of product planning and logistics at American Honda, in a press release. “With technology becoming further integrated into people’s lives, we are happy to provide next-generation connectivity and meet our customer’s ever-changing needs.”
Honda and Acura drivers with Siri Eyes Free mode will be able to have the innovative system complete a number of different tasks for them, including sending texts and emails, reading text and emails aloud, checking the weather, providing turn-by-turn navigation, reporting sports scores and stock quotes, and a lot more.
