These days, everyone is trying to catch a glimpse of the new 2015 Ford Mustang. We don’t have all the juicy details, but we’ll tell you what we do know.

Soon to celebrate its 50th birthday next year on April 17, the new Mustang maintains classic design elements for which it is known while incorporating new features and options to satisfy the needs and wants of all fans.

Initially, the 2015 Mustang will carry over the same 3.7-liter V-6 or the 5.0-liter V-8 engine options that are currently available. Six-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmissions will continue to be offered as well.

However, just one month after its launch, the 2015 Mustang is expected to offer upgraded powertrains that are anticipated to yield 500 hp. A 10-speed automatic transmission, developed in conjunction with GM, should become available two to three years after the 2015 model is launched.

The 2015 model will also introduce the first turbocharged model since the 1968 SVO. It will be outfitted with a 2.3-liter boosted four-cylinder engine.

Another upgrade to look for is an independent rear suspension system. It will be the first time Ford has included the system in the Mustang since the 1999-2004 SVT Cobra.

Additionally, the MyFord Touch interface, about which Ford received much feedback from users, will receive a facelift with a revised touch screen and the inclusion of redundant hard controls if the touch screen isn’t your favorite technology.

Lots of changes are coming for the new 2015 Ford Mustang. Are you excited to see what all these features will look like in the next generation of Mustangs?
