“Star Wars”-Inspired Dodge Models Patrol LA to Celebrate New Film in Series
Unless you live under a rock, it’s likely you know that the newest addition to the Star Wars legacy is coming out on December 18th—and I don’t think anyone is more excited than Fiat Chrysler.
This past weekend, Dodge was out in full force (haha, get it?) in Los Angeles to celebrate the upcoming premier of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
A pair of First Order Stormtrooper-themed white Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat and Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, which were wrapped specifically with stormtrooper graphics, took to the streets, following their leader—an intimidating Kylo Ren-inspired black Dodge Viper ACR.
The three Dodge models gave fans around the city the opportunity to take pictures and videos with them. Fans could track the vehicle locations in real time on Twitter, using the hashtags #Dodge and #TheForceAwakens. Dodge even chose a variety of fan favorites on the Dodge Facebook and Instagram pages.
This excursion to the dark side is the first of a weekend promotion to promote the new Star Wars movie. As a partner with Lucasfilm, Dodge—and other Fiat Chrysler brands—have already released a multitude of TV commercials inspired by a galaxy far, far away. Fiat even debuted a custom-painted Fiat 500e Stormtrooper at the LA Auto Show.
