Stormtrooper Dodge Chargers Take Over New York City
For many Star Wars fans, the Millennium Falcon would be their ride of choice. Since getting your hands on this epic spacecraft from the Star Wars universe isn’t exactly easy, Mattel’s Hot Wheels brand and Uber have decided to join forces and offer Star Wars fans something that’s almost as good—a fleet of Dodge Chargers dressed up as Stormtroopers.
On September 4th for Force Friday, eight Star Wars First Order Stormtrooper edition Chargers took to the streets as Uber cars in New York City. Uber customers who used the code HOTWHEELSFF received free rides from these intimidating sedans.

The Hot Wheels’ fleet of Chargers was created to promote the brand’s tiny, 1:64-scale versions that are currently on sale. According to Hot Wheels, the Charger was chosen as the Stormtrooper car because it “embodies the look and feel of the Hot Wheels Stormtrooper diecast car and is sure to turn heads when traversing on the streets of NYC on Force Friday.”
The toy-version of these Stormtrooper special-edition Hot Wheels cars are being sold in conjunction with the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the newest addition to the Star Wars’ franchise.
We’re pretty sure these are the Chargers you’re looking for.
