Strategic Vision Names Kia Motors One of the Highest Quality Brands in Industry
If there was a yearbook for the automotive industry, we’re pretty sure that Kia Motors America would earn the “Most Likely to Succeed” superlative. The South Korean carmaker has come back from being one of the lesser known brands in the United States to being one of the highest quality brands in the business—and Strategic Vision agrees. The research-based consultant agency recently named Kia the highest quality brand under $26,000 in its Total Quality Impact (TQI) study.
“The latest Strategic Vision Total Quality Impact data is further proof of the ‘New Kia’s’ standing as a leader in design, quality, technology, and value,” said Orth Hedrick, vice president of product planning for Kia Motors America. “The Sorento and Sedona are prime examples of Kia’s commitment to surpassing consumer’s expectations in everything we do, and the Total Quality Impact recognition is especially gratifying as it represents the voice of our customers.”
Leading the Kia brand in quality, according to the TQI study, were the 2016 Sorento CUV and the 2016 Sedona minivan. Each of these models was given the highest TQI scores in the mid-size CUV and minivan segments, respectively.
To determine the winners of the Total Quality Impact awards, Strategic Vision surveyed more than 39,000 new-car owners. Each owner was asked to rate their new vehicles in a variety of quality-oriented categories. The Sorento easily came out on top of its segment thanks to its top-notch value and exquisite interior design, while the Sedona earned top marks for its technology, craftsmanship, and performance.
