‘Street Outlaws’ Year in Review: Daddy Dave and Big Chief Survive Devastating Crashes [VIDEOS]
It’s been a tough year for the cast of the hit Discovery Channel show Street Outlaws.
In May of this year, Israel Valenzuela—who appeared on the show—was arrested and faces two murder counts for his involvement in an illegal street race, which took the lives of two people in Los Angeles. Under California law, Valenzuela is being held accountable for the death of two people–just for being involved in the street race, even though he reportedly wasn’t driving the vehicle which lost control and hit the bystanders.
Another terrible accident happened earlier this year in August, when cast member “Daddy” Dave Cornstock lost control of his nitro-powered Chevy Nova at a Texas drag strip, which resulted in his vehicle flipping over a total of six times.

Cornstock survived the car crash, but he did suffer a concussion and a bruised lung. Cornstock reportedly didn’t even remember how he ended up in the hospital following the crash, but his condition improved enough that he was released from the hospital just one day after crashing his car that went by the nickname of “Goliath.”
Another terrible accident occurred in November, when Street Outlaws star Justin Shearer–otherwise known as “Big Chief”–was involved in accident while filming a racing scene for the show, which resulted in his 1972 Pontiac LeMans to flip over and land in a ditch.

Similarly to “Daddy” Dave, “Big Chief” also escaped without life-threatening injuries, although he did suffer a broken collar bone, two bruised lungs, and crushed L2 and L3 discs in his back.
As previously stated, it’s been a tough year for the Street Outlaws cast and hopefully next year treats them a little better. We probably can guess what their New Year’s resolutions will be.
