Ford hasn’t yet detailed all of the bells and whistles standard and available for the 2016 F-Series Super Duty, but it’s likely only a matter of time before all the particulars are divulged. In the meantime, Ford does seem quite comfortable confirming that all Super Duty trucks will be available with factory-installed strobe lights.

Now, we’re fairly certain we can’t be alone in feeling like the video, released in accordance with Morse Code Day, is intended to feel like something out of a horror movie. The strobe lights give the truck the appearance of having flashing yellow eyes, the chrome grille looks something like the sinisterly-grinning face of some monster preparing to eat you in one bite, and the background music sounds like a b-side from a Lustmord record.

The strobe lights, however, are more likely to be used for the purposes of road crews and utility crews around the country. The strobe lights provide exceptional visibility—visible from up to 1,000 feet—making them ideal for those with night gigs. Like a municipal crew composed entirely of vampires, perhaps.

The strobe lights will cost $700 MSRP (not including taxes or applicable installation fees) and are covered by a three-year/36,000-mile warranty.
