Interest in pickup trucks lost a good deal of momentum last month

In fact, it managed to go from a 13% sales decline to a slight 1% sales decline.

Much of this improvement can be credited to the Jeep brand. Sales for Jeep models were up by 12%, with a total of 70,020 vehicles sold.

Of the many models in Jeep’s lineup, the Compass experienced the most improvement. Sales for the small Jeep were up by 486% year-over-year, with the Compass outselling both the Cherokee and the Wrangler.

Jeep sales are on the rise once again

Meanwhile, FCA’s other major brands reported sales losses. This includes the Ram brand, which saw a 14% sales decline last month.

This downward trend for Ram reflects an unusual decline in pickup truck sales that was observed last month. Ram only sold 33,299 of its Ram pickup trucks last month.

Dodge’s sales were down by 8% year-over-year. Surprisingly, the Charger experienced a 9% sales increase to 7,568 units, while Journey sales fell by 52%.
