When it comes to driving in snow, most of us grip the wheel in fear, hoping for the best. Stunt driver Ken Block grips the wheel too, but mostly in excitement.

The California-born 49-year-old is a professional rally driver who started out with the Vermont SportsCar team in 2005. He’s also one of the co-founders of DC Shoes and has competed in various other action sports like skateboarding, snowboarding, and motocross. With that extensive and extreme resume, it’s no wonder he was the perfect person to take a Ford F-150 Raptor out for a joy ride in the snow.

Can’t Stop. Won’t Stop. Here are signs you need new brakes

In the video, Block is seen drifting and catapulting through the snow in a 2017 prototype Ford F-150 Raptor on a closed course. The camera beneath the beast of a vehicle shows us the shock support as the stunt driver barrels through the snowy hills. Thanks to the camera inside the vehicle, we’re also able to see the look of pure joy on Block’s face as he tears around in the Raptor.

Despite the size and ability of the F-150 Raptor, it has a surprisingly smooth and quiet ride once you’re inside. Sure, the neighbors may hear you coming from a mile away. But who cares when you’re behind the wheel of that monster?

‘Tis truly an image of beauty

Under the hood, the Raptor boasts an impressive 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 engine that pumps out both power and efficiency. With all that power, the Raptor is able to tow 8,000 pounds and has 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque.

With all that power, I feel like maybe I should chug an energy drink before getting into this thing. What I know for sure though, is that when it comes to the stunt driving, I’ll leave it to the experts.
