If your June was half as great as Subraru’s was, then you had a pretty decent month. Subaru reported record June sales, with a couple stand-out figures that are especially impressive.

Overall, this was the best June in the car company’s history, with an 11.7% increase over June 2016 alone. That makes this past month the 67th consecutive month of yearly month-over-month growth, as well as the 40th consecutive month of selling more than 40,000 vehicles.

“We are very pleased to have set another half-year record and to have reached our 67th consecutive month of yearly month-over-month sales increases,” said Thomas J. Doll, president and chief operating officer, Subaru of America, Inc. “Despite a more competitive market, we’re proud of our retailer’s ability to increase sales volume and market share.”

The Crosstrek, Forester, and Outback in particular had a strong month, with each model having its best June in terms of sales ever. This was also the 40th consecutive month of Subaru selling more than 10,000 Outbacks, as well as the 47th consecutive month of selling more than 10,000 Foresters.

With those numbers and stats in mind, it will be exciting to see how Subaru does in the months to follow. The company has already sold over 304,810 vehicles so far this year and we still have almost half of the year to go.

“We are pleased to have exceeded 50,000 sales for the tenth time in the past twelve months and we are optimistic about our results for the remainder of the year,” said Jeff Walters, senior vice president of sales. “We will benefit as the all-new 2018 Crosstrek starts arriving at our retailers later this month.”
