The 2015 Subaru Impreza | Top Picks of 2015

The 2015 Subaru Impreza was one of three Subaru models to be named Top Picks of 2015 from Consumer Reports

Consumer Reports recently released its list of Top Picks for 2015. More Subaru vehicles (three in total out of ten) appeared than any other automaker models on this year’s list. The only other automaker to get more than one mention on the list was Toyota, with two.

While the top vehicle overall was the Tesla Model S, that’s a little bit out of most of our price ranges. Subaru’s models, however, are incredibly affordable to middle-class families. Among the winning models were the Subaru Impreza (in the compact car segment, with a score of 79/100), the Subaru Legacy (in the midsized sedan segment, with a score of 89/100), and the Subaru Forester (in the small SUV segment, with a score of 86/100).

Vehicle Research: 2015 Subaru Forester Overview

For the Impreza, Consumer Reports valued its interior comfort and pleasant ride. As for the Legacy, the editors like that it exceeded typical sedan “rental-car expectations” by being an exciting standout in the segment. The editors also praised the Forester’s value (considering its price, efficiency, performance, and reliability) and said it is the “vehicle we recommend to our families.”

Noticeably, no trucks made the list this year. According to Consumer Reports, “[T]he 2015 Ford F-150 and Chevrolet Colorado are too new to have reliability and testing data, and the Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra and Ram 1500 are not reliable enough.”

So if no trucks made the top ten, and Subaru only nabbed three spots, who else made the cut? Find the complete list over at Consumer Reports.
