At $18,295, the base (2.0i) Impreza sees just a $100 price hike over last year but still gives drivers Subaru’s world-famous Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive standard. Available as a four- or five-door model, the Impreza is available either with a five-speed manual gearbox or a continuously variable transmission. A 2.0-liter BOXER engine powers the Impreza and is good for 148 horsepower.

The Impreza 2.0i Premium bumps the price up to $21,095 but adds the All-Weather Package standard; the package includes heated front seats and side mirrors, as well as windshield wiper de-icer.

The Impreza is also available as the 2.0i Sport Premium (five-door only) for $21,095. The upgrade adds standard 17-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, roof rails, turn-signal mirrors, and body-color rocker panel spoilers. Inside, the Sport Premium adds a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob and unique seat fabric. The models equipped with EyeSight will also get Starlink Connected Services standard.

For $22,595, you can drive home in the 2.0i Limited, and for $23,595, you can make that the Sport Limited; these are only available on the five-door variant. Standard on both models are leather seating, turn signal exterior mirrors, Welcome Lighting, a color LCD in the gauge cluster, Starlink Connected Services, an exterior chrome trim, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

The 2016 Subaru Crosstrek is offered as a gasoline and a hybrid model

2016 Subaru Crosstrek Pricing

The 2016 Subaru Crosstrek is available as both a gasoline and hybrid model. The gasoline variant takes its power from the same 2.0-liter BOXER engine as the Impreza (still good for 148 horsepower). The hybrid gets its power from this too, but with a higher compression ratio and reduced-friction piston and valve rings. There’s also an electric drive motor which helps boost horsepower to 160 and, of course, improves fuel economy. The 12.5kW nickel-metal hydride battery is located under the rear floor.

New for this year, the Crosstrek is offered with Driver Assist technologies, including Lane Change Assist, Blind Spot Detection, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. The off-road-ready 2016 Crosstrek boasts 8.7 inches of ground clearance and maintains a rugged appearance to match its performance, including a rocker spoiler, 17-inch wheels, and roof rails. Both the gasoline and hybrid variants get a new front fascia for 2016, along with new headlights and a new grille; the hybrid model gets a gloss black finish on the grille.

The 2016 Subaru Crosstrek 2.0i, the base model, starts at just $21,595. The five-speed manual gearbox is only available on the 2.0i and the 2.0i Premium, which should sell for $22,395. The Premium adds the same All-Weather Package added onto the Impreza 2.0i Premium, but also includes power windows, door locks, and side mirrors; a security system with engine immobilizer; an outside temperature gauge; a tilt/telescoping steering wheel complete with audio and Bluetooth® control switches; a multi-function display with fuel economy info; and carpeted floormats.

The 2.0i and the 2.0i Premium both get the 6.2-inch STARLINK multimedia system with touchscreen. (The Hybrid trims also get this.) Included in the system are Bluetooth streaming audio and hands-free phone capability, AM/FM Stereo HD radio with single disc CD player, a rear-vision camera, and iPod control with iTunes tagging.

Jump to $25,095, and you can get the 2.0i Limited, which upgrades from the five-speed manual tranny to the CVT, as well as a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift handle, leather-trimmed upholstery, a rear seat armrest that has dual cupholders, auto on/off headlights, turn signals on the exterior mirrors, and automatic climate control. Standard on the 2.0i Limited (as well as the Hybrid Touring) are active safety features, Blind Spot Detection and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

The hybrid models (Hybrid and Hybrid Touring) get Keyless Access with Push Button Start with Pin Code Access, among other upgrades. The Hybrid model starts at $26,395; the Hybrid Touring starts at $29,995.
