Subaru WinterFest 2017: Wisp Resort in McHenry, MD
Winter adventure is calling this weekend (January 28th and 29th) with the Subaru WinterFest 2017 tour stopping at Wisp Resort in McHenry, MD. If you’re a fan of Subaru and winter sports, you’ll definitely want to stop by for all the action.
What to expect at the event
Along with daily giveaways and gear demonstrations from various sponsors (Lib Tech, Under Armour, Klean Kanteen, Thule, and Nordica), patrons of the WinterFest tour can enjoy craft coffee from Ozo and delicious s’mores.
Wisp Resort will be host to additional events during that weekend, including a Bell’s Brewery Promotion at Wispers Bar, where those of drinking age can enjoy tasty beverages from the brewery. Another imbibing occasion is the Wine and Beer Tasting Tour which will guide patrons to various locations near Wisp. The kids can enjoy sleigh rides at 1pm on Saturday and Sunday.

DC’s Bar & Restaurant – Traditional American comfort food served in a homey log cabin-esque building; cocktails and craft beer available; serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Wisp Resort has been welcoming skiers and snowboarders to the Western Maryland Mountains since 1955. Once only a single ski slope service, the resort has grown to a year-round attraction featuring a variety of exciting activities, including skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, a mountain coaster, and an ice skating rink. Wisp offers 34 total slopes (of all skill levels) with two quad lifts and five triple lifts, and a summit elevation of 3,115 feet.
