Surfing in the UK Is Tough; Having a Jeep Helps
When most people think of surfing, they imagine beaches in Hawaii with the hot sun on their backs—and if they’re 90s kids, they probably think about Rocket Power and Johnny Tsunami too. The experience is a little different for those who pursue surfing in the UK, however. It’s much harder to find a spot with great waves (and sunshine is never a guarantee). In fact, to get to some of the beaches, many of which are just rocks on a cliff face, an off-road ready vehicle is necessary.
Enter the Jeep. Specifically, enter the Jeep Wrangler Overland for surfers Oli Adams and Micah Lester. The two are making their way around the British Isles in a Jeep Wrangler Overland, searching out the best spots for surfing in the UK.
The trouble is, these spots are far and few between and may only be the so-called best spots for just a few hours each year. Yes, that’s right, not each day—each year. That’s why, when the perfect moment strikes, it is crucial that surfers have a vehicle that can get them to the waves.
Check out Adams’ and Lester’s surfing experiences in the video below, made possible by the Jeep Wrangler Overland.
