#TacomaChat to Take Place Following Toyota’s NAIAS Press Conference

If you’ve been living under an automotive rock, you might be surprised to learn that the next-generation 2016 Toyota Tacoma is set to debut at the Detroit Auto Show today during the automaker’s press conference. Toyota will take the stage at 12:50 pm EST today, and the world will get its first official glimpse of the midsize truck (well, apart from the glimpse that Toyota gave the interwebs last week).

If you already knew this and were waiting (im)patiently for 12:50 pm in order to see the truck for yourself, you’ll probably be excited to learn that, following the press conference, officials from Toyota will be hosting a livestream Q&A session to answer your burning questions about the 2016 Tacoma. If you have a question you’d like answered, all you need to do is submit it via TweetChat to #TacomaChat, and your question might be one of the ones picked out of the thousands (millions?) that are sure to be submitted.

The 2016 Tacoma debuts on the heels of the newly redesigned 2015 Chevy Colorado, which has redefined the previously lagging midsize truck segment. With the launch of the 2016 Tacoma, Toyota hopes to capture some of the Colorado’s popularity for itself. Only time will tell whether or not that will be the case, but based on what we’ve seen so far, we’re pretty confident that the 2016 Tacoma will be a hit with truck fans.

Stay tuned to The News Wheel this week for live coverage of the 2015 North American International Auto Show.
